The Glebe BIA is pushing back on a proposed 15-month pilot project that would permanently remove 17 on-street parking spaces to make way for bus-only lanes along Bank Street. Executive Director Darrell Cox warns that the changes could hurt local businesses and underserved customers, and is calling for the $2.5M in city funds to be redirected toward increased police presence and community safety instead. The proposal goes before the public works and infrastructure committee March 30.
