OCOBIA Supports the Formation of the Cyrville BIA

Press Releases | Letters

OCOBIA has submitted a formal letter of support to the City of Ottawa’s Finance and Corporate Services Committee in favour of the proposed formation of the Cyrville Business Improvement Area (Agenda Item 7.8).

Cyrville is at a transformative moment in its growth — evolving into a high-density, transit-oriented hub with up to 10,000 new homes projected in the area’s Transit-Oriented Development zone. Establishing a BIA now provides an opportunity to anchor this emerging neighbourhood with a strong mainstreet identity, support its 473 businesses across 192 commercial properties, and ensure local businesses have a unified voice as the community evolves.

In her letter, OCOBIA Chief Advocate Michelle Groulx commended the strong formation process led by the Cyrville BIA Steering Committee, and respectfully encouraged Committee and Council to approve the designation.
