OCOBIA Congratulates Ottawa’s Newly Elected Mayor and City Council

BIA News, News & Updates

OCOBIA extends its sincere congratulations to Ottawa’s newly elected Mayor and City Council following yesterday’s municipal election. On behalf of Ottawa’s 18 Business Improvement Areas and the more than 7,200 businesses they represent, we look forward to building strong, collaborative relationships with the incoming Council and continuing the important work of supporting Ottawa’s mainstreets, small businesses, and local economies. The priorities identified throughout this election cycle — a strong local economy, safe and welcoming districts, reliable transit and connectivity, resilient infrastructure, and sustainable funding — remain central to the work ahead, and OCOBIA remains committed to being a constructive partner in advancing them. Congratulations as well to every candidate who put themselves forward and contributed to the democratic conversation about Ottawa’s future. We look forward to getting to work.
