Ottawa’s Finance and Corporate Services Committee has approved both the proposed expansion of the Preston Street BIA and the formation of a new Cyrville BIA. The Preston Street BIA’s expanded boundaries will bring 39 new commercial properties and 164 businesses into the district, while the new Cyrville BIA will encompass approximately 474 businesses across 192 commercial and industrial properties. The committee’s approval reflects strong support from local councillors, OCOBIA, and the business communities in both districts. Both proposals will be considered for final approval by City Council on June 10.
