Ottawa’s Chinatown BIA has launched Chinatown Street Seats, a seasonal outdoor gathering space in the heart of Somerset Street West. The site features an outdoor performance stage, shaded seating, and vibrant public art — including opera face murals and a large mural of legendary Chinese heroine Mu Guiying — celebrating the neighbourhood’s cultural character. Open through mid-October, the space will host a rotating schedule of live performances, workshops, and cultural programming from local artists and community organizations.
